What blocks drains around here
Newer estates are plumbed in PVC with solvent-welded joints, so root intrusion is far less common. What we actually pull out of these lines is wet wipes, sanitary products, kids’ toys, cat litter and leftover construction debris such as sand, render and offcuts from the build.
How we approach it
Because the pipe itself is usually sound, these are mostly clear-and-confirm jobs. We clear the blockage, then camera the line so you can see the pipe is intact and know it was the contents, not the plumbing.
